Our Communion Services "In House" AND ONLINE!

Communion

Our Communion Services have been adjusted due to the Covid pandemic, but will also be online for those of you who want to join us while at home.

To participate, we suggest you buy some Welch's Grape Juice and some Matzo crackers.  Even better, we have a recipe (below) for you to bake your own Matzo.  OR, make arrangements with Denise and she'll share some of what she baked - she has baked plenty for everybody! Stop by the Church Mon-Th 9-noon, or call and make arrangements - we'll even deliver it to you (locally)!

The most important thing, we believe, is your heart in worship, and that God will bless your obedience even if you don't have the exact items for Communion.

Currently, we are observing Communion on the Second Sunday of every other month.  For 2021, that would be the months of February, April, June, August, October and December.

Andrew's Recipe for Matzo (unleavened bread):

  • 1 c. flour
  • 3 tbsp. sugar
  • 1/3 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 c. shortening
  • 2 - 2 1/2 tbsp. milk
Sift together the flour, sugar and salt. Cut in shortening. Add a little bit of milk at a time, and only enough to form into dough.
Roll dough (using floured rolling pin) to 1/4 inch thick. Cut into 1/2 inch squares. Bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until done.
